SUMMARY:Beaconsfield Upper Ash Wednesday 40th anniversary memorial walk
DESCRIPTION:On 16 February 1983 twelve CFA firefighters\, in trucks from Na
 rre Warren and Panton Hill\, also lost their lives on a narrow bush track 
 at the Critchley Parker Junior Reserve when the fire overran them.&nbsp\; 
 This walk commemorates their lives.
 The walk consists of 10km of easy wa
 lking and an optional 3km of medium walking.
 Part One - 5 km loop of Bea
 consfield Upper to visit the recreation reserve\, Sutherland Park and bush
  tucker garden. Back to the cars for morning tea. Option to buy coffee at 
 the general store (please bring your Keep Cup and help our environment).&n
 bsp\;&nbsp\;
 Part Two - 6km walk along St George's Road path to visit th
 e secuded firefighters' memorial at&nbsp\;Critchley Parker Junior Reserve.
  This includes a 3km medium loop with two very steep descents on a 4WD tra
 ck and a&nbsp\; steady long ascent.&nbsp\; Option to sit out the medium se
 ction but bring your walking poles and boots if you do come.
 Part Three 
 - 2km walk to visit the second firefighters' memorial and do a loop of ano
 ther part of town on paths.
