DESCRIPTION:We meet at the front of the cafe at 09.30. Walk to the ford and
  cross over to Horseshoe Farm\, walk around the river back to entrance and
  walk to Old Calder freeway \, up hill to brimbank Park\, follow the track
  down and follow the river back to the cafe for afternoon tea. Brimbank Pa
 rk was home to the Dodd Family from 1860 to 1974- Dairy and cattle farming
 \, orchards and market gardening. Parks&nbsp\; took over in 1976. Horsesho
 e Bend&nbsp\; until 1854 it served as the Keilor Reserve Village- used for
  grazing and by any travellers who were passing the area. Early 1900's Wil
 liam O'Neil Jnr purchased the property and operated it as a Dairy Farm unt
 il his death in the 1930s.Used by various&nbsp\; owners - for orchards and
  market gardens. Features a 1930 Homestead- gardens and outbuildings. Chil
 drens Farm which closed in 2012. Bring Boots \, poles water\, morning tea\
 , lunch cameras\, and your happy smiles.
