The Committee invites you to celebrate our new meeting location for an evening of Barefoot Bowls on 8th March 2023. Bowls commences at 5.30pm with a break for finger food and finishes at 7.30pm in time to start our Monthly meeting. 

The cost of the event is $15.00 which includes barefoot lawn bowls (equipment and tuition included) and finger food.

The Essendon Bushwalking Club Christmas Get Together is to be held at Woodland Park,
Woodland Street, Essendon starting at 12pm after the local history walk which starts at 11am.

A delicious meal costing $25.00 per person will be provided. This includes continental
sausages, homemade Black Angus beef burger patty, slow cooked chicken skewers, potato
salad, dill cucumber, pickled shallots, peas, roast garlic aioli, salad of mixed greens and
herbs, French dressing, grilled BBQ sauce and mustard and artisan bread rolls and butter.

You are welcome to bring your own drinks. Please bring a chair and a table too if you wish.
Partners are most welcome.

This venue offers Italian homestyle meals with classic pizza and pasta plus a good selection of meat and fish dishes.  A relaxed family-run pub and happy hour is also available for those arriving early. 

Travel by public transport is only a few minutes walk (on Victoria Street, Peel Street or Elizabeth Street), parking is limited however should be reasonably accessible around the area early evening.

Barefoot bowls is on again in 2024 after a successful event was enjoyed by members last year. Barefoot Bowls will commence at 17:30 sharp with finger food served during a break in bowls and drinks will be available for purchase at the bar. The event will  conclude at 19:30 with the March club monthly meeting to follow. 

The cost of bowls and finger food is $20 per member. The member cost is $10 for finger food only.

Chi Chi's is a well known Vietnamese Restaurant on Keilor Road, Niddrie.

Good selection on the menu to satisfy most tastes, and reasonably priced too. Parking in side streets or travel by tram #59.
