DESCRIPTION:Columbine Creek is an area of bushland tucked between Glenuce a
 nd Drummond North and sits within the Fryers Ridge Nature Conservation Res
 erve.&nbsp\; Previoulsy slated for a club walk during COVID times\, late w
 inter / early spring is the best time to wonder through this wonderful are
 a of bushland
 The walk commences at the intersection of Fryers Ridge Roa
 d and Hunter Lane (suitable for conventional vehicles).&nbsp\; It is a mix
 ture of on track and off track walking (gaiters and poles highly recommend
 ed).&nbsp\; Along the way we will visit the homes of Charles Sanger's hut\
 , an eccentric character who lived as a hermit in the Fryers and Upper Lod
 don Forests.&nbsp\; Water races are another feature of this walk\, along w
 ith the remains of an amazing syphon which was built in the 1930's to move
  water from Fryerstown into the goldfields along the Loddon.&nbsp\; Off tr
 ack along Salter's Creek\, before making our way back the cars along washi
 ng machine gully.
