 Meeting Place and Time: If driving direct from Melbourne to Fi
 rth Park\, it is best to go via Woodend and Trentham East and meet outside
  Firth Park Camping Area before 9.30 am
 
 Details: Firth Park is situat
 ed just off Firth Road deep within the Wombat State Forest. The park has f
 acilities for camping\, picnicking and barbecues\, with old forestry equip
 ment for children to play on. It makes an ideal start/finish area for bush
 walking around the Wombat State Forest\, with plenty of parking.
 This wa
 lk is a circuit around the park making use of logging tracks and forestry 
 roads. Some of these tracks have been badly eroded and holes left by off r
 oad vehicles can be filled with water after rain. These areas are easily a
 voided but boots are recommended\, and walking poles would come in handy. 
 There are no steep climbs but a few undulations. Contact Ron if you need a

 Unfortunately\, Firth Park is currently closed 
 following the storms in 2022. Work is progressing to have the Camping Area
  ready to reopen by the end Of February 2023\, and is therefor closed to t
 he public.
