SUMMARY:Ringwood lake and Tarralla Trail
DESCRIPTION:For the stay at homes\, those not venturing out of Melbourne fo
 r Easter\, why not have a pleasant day out exploring new territory\, new e
 ven for the well seasoned walkers of the club. &nbsp\;We aim to take the t
 rain out to Ringwood and then stroll up to the Ringwood Lake and enjoy a p
 leasant circuit of the lake in this attractive park. &nbsp\;Leaving the pa
 rk and via several suburban streets\, we head out on the Heathmont Rail Tr
 ail. After a few easy kms of walking we change over to the Dandenong Creek
  trail and continue on until we reach the point of crossing under the rail
 way line and head north to connect to the Tarralla Creek trail. A civilize
 d lunch stop at Gracedale Park with picnic shelters\, tables and toilets b
 efore rejoining the trail to stroll along the green \, attractive and at t
 imes quite bushy path to reach the sports and Civic complexes of Croydon. 
 &nbsp\;The last km is of course via a coffee shop (milk shakes) before we 
 reach Croydon Rly Stn to return to the city. &nbsp\;Guaranteed easy\, not 
 a hill in sight\, good surfaces for walking\, and green and pleasant scene
 ry for most of the route\, all should make for nice way to make the most o
 f one of the days over Easter. Meet at 8.55 at the Flinders St coffee shop
 s area (we seem to congregate on the steps at the back of the metro info c
 entre) for the 9.06 to Ringwood. Bring the usual lunch\, drink\, hat UV cr
 eam etc. Comfortable walking shoes will be fine.
