Meetings are held at he Moonee Ponds Bowling Club, 776 Mt Alexander Road (Queens Park), Moonee Ponds, (Melway ref 28 J6).  Enter Car Park from driveway off Mt Alexander Rd (beside the church). Our monthly club meetings are held  in accordance with current COVID restrictions, and are scheduled in the Church Hall as per the details above.

The club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7.30 pm.

Visitors are most welcome to attend. We always look forward to seeing new faces.

Walking Areas

Walking areas include the Melbourne region, most parts of Victoria and occasional interstate trips, such as Tasmania, NSW, Kakadu  and the Kimberleys.


Membership is conditional upon completing either of the following qualifying events:

1) Two club program day events (eg. two walks 10km+) or

2) One overnight walk.

To book in to a qualifying event, email the club secretary on : This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..   The secretary will then forward contact details for the leader of that event.

 Annual membership fee is currently $45

Visitor fee for each club activity prior to membership: $5

Current number of members: > 200
Club members age mix: 1 - 30 5%, 31 - 50 40% and 51 - 99 55%.

To allow you to become a member, all these activities must be qualifying.  (Non-qualifying events, which are shown as NQE on the activities program, include activities such as bike rides and restaurant nights).

You must then submit to the Secretary a membership application form (includes acknowledgement of risk form) signed by the leader of each of the walks you completed.
Then once approved by the committee and payment of membership fee, you are a member and can do as many club activities as you like.
A member must be at least 15 years of age with no upper limit in age as long as you are reasonably fit and in good health and can complete the walk.

The Club was formed in 1975, and is a major club servicing the Northern and Western suburbs.
